earlier this week i found out about a my little pony rave happening in LA only 3 days before the event. i've been having the biggest fomo seeing mlp raves happening in other cities, and it's finally happening close to me!
i immediately told my bf about it with a mordetwi costume for us in mind and we got the tickets. the next day my bf tells me about ANOTHER rave that his friend is DJing at this weekend, and obviously i wanted to go to that too! today i went to the goodwill to find an outfit i could wear as twilight sparkle (just needed a purple skirt and a cute vest) and i found *drumroll* nothingš».BUT when i was looking through the skirts and yellow shirts i thought "wait.. we would totally be great at doing a fluttercord costume instead." and i found the cutest, perfect fluttershy rave outfit, a yellow sequined minidress and a small sweater i will be altering to turn into legwarmers. i also found a button up and tie for my bf. then i thought "oh! wings would be perfect for me to make for fluttershy" and headed over to michael's, only to find that they rearranged the store and i could not find the felt ANYWHERE. i decided i would have to improvise with using whatever leftover cloth i had lying around to make her wings, which i currently have less than 12 hours to create now.
so now i have two raves lined up to go to this week, which i am soooo excited for! i love the music and dancing and dressing up, and i am so ready to have a great time doing what i enjoy before the semester starts next week. i'll for sure be updating on the outfit and how our costumes turn out :>
